As of 2023, I am working on putting all of my recorded Guided Meditations into Podcast format, so you can access them for free.

I use mindfulness meditation in my practice. It is integrated into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, you may notice MBCT showing up. That’s Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and has become an effective therapy model.

Why Mindfulness?

Mindfulness meditation is a type of meditation practice that involves intentionally focusing one’s attention on the present moment, without judgment or distraction. This technique is derived from traditional Buddhist meditation practices but has become widely used in contemporary secular contexts.

During mindfulness meditation, individuals typically sit quietly, close their eyes, and focus their attention on their breath, bodily sensations, or a specific object, such as a sound or image. When the mind wanders, as it inevitably will, practitioners gently redirect their attention back to the present moment.

The goal of mindfulness meditation is to cultivate greater awareness and acceptance of one’s thoughts, feelings, and experiences. By practicing non-judgmental observation of one’s inner and outer experiences, individuals can develop greater insight into their patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior, and learn to respond more skillfully to the challenges of daily life.

Research has demonstrated that mindfulness meditation can be an effective tool for reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, improving sleep, enhancing cognitive functioning, and fostering greater emotional resilience and well-being.
